La Puente

Sunday. The kids woke me up early this morning. That's okay, the sun was out and it was a beautiful, warm day. I sat on my back deck and listened to the waves rolling in, the seagulls squawking, and the kids laughing as they chased each other in circles on the sandy beach below. I had absolutely nothing to do today. I thought about those things that I wanted to repair around the house. The white paint has been cracking off for, I don't know how long. And I had five cans of lime green paint planned for the shutters. Not today. One day.

LOL. Maybe when I make that beautiful dream a reality.

In the meantime, this home stuck too closely between the others on this block, and located at least 2 hours from the nearest beach will have to suffice.

But one day...

Both the below photo as well as this one (above) were taken on a very beautiful day at the park. Actually, I'm not sure if it was so much beautiful because of the weather as it was about simply spending quality time with my beautiful children. They are such a relief to a hectic day. It never matters how upsetting my day has been, my childrens' carefree happiness lightens my mood, reminding me of what is most important.
